Caring Community｜CIS Students Shine at Central European Cultural Week with Confident Performances That Captivate the Audience

The 6th Foshan China-Europe Culture Week officially opened on November 8, 2025. Centered on the theme of “Cultural Integration,” the event aims to deepen dialogue and collaboration between Chinese and Western cultures. This year’s program brings together artists, cultural professionals, and educational institutions from both China and Europe, showcasing dynamic cultural exchange and the blending of diverse perspectives.

As a well-recognized international school in Foshan, CIS was invited to participate in the event, showcasing the school’s active role and contributions in promoting international cultural exchange and a diverse educational environment.

CIS was invited by the organizers to take part in the opening ceremony of the Cultural Week. Our teachers delivered creative and engaging English experience lessons, while our students presented vibrant singing and dance performances. Together, they showcased the distinctive charm of CIS’s international education and its rich multicultural atmosphere.

CIS kindergarten students brought joy to the event with their innocent and energetic street dance performance. Their lively moves, full of childlike charm and enthusiasm, filled the venue with pure happiness and vibrant energy.

The CIS Choir performed the Chinese song “Snail” for guests at the opening ceremony. Comprising students from different countries, the choir added a distinctive touch to the Cultural Week. Their performance embodied the theme of “cultural integration,” showing how students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds can come together on the same stage to express their appreciation for Chinese culture.

In addition to the student performances, CIS teachers also brought unique highlights to the event. CIS Kindergarten Principal Kole, together with the music teacher, led children in an engaging session featuring ukulele and Irish hand drum activities, along with simple English sing-alongs. This interactive experience—blending language learning with musical culture—gave the children an unforgettable weekend filled with joy and creativity.

Through this Culture Week, the school not only provided students with a platform to showcase themselves but also made a positive contribution to Foshan’s cultural diversity and cross-cultural exchange. 

The students’ participation broadened their international perspectives and deepened their understanding and respect for different cultures. In recognition of their active involvement, the event organizers—the Administrative Committee of Foshan Sino‑German Industrial Services Zone (Sanlongwan Science & Technology City)—awarded each participating student an honorary certificate, acknowledging their contributions to this cultural exchange.

Through this Foshan China-Europe Cultural Week, students not only broadened their horizons and deepened their cultural understanding but also experienced the unique appeal of cross-regional collaboration.

CIS will continue to provide students with more opportunities like this, enabling them to gain a deeper appreciation of diverse cultures while actively contributing to community initiatives, and fostering a stronger sense of teamwork and social responsibility.
